Moving Together startet in the Herbst 2026

When Movement Becomes Connection!
Sometimes it doesn't take much to bring people together. A shared rhythm. A movement. A moment in which we notice one another and realise: we all belong.
That's exactly what Moving Together is about.
Since the spring, this inclusive movement programme has been bringing together people with very different experiences, abilities and life realities. Some arrive with plenty of movement experience, others are only just discovering their bodies and new ways of moving. Some are loud, others quiet. Some move on two legs, others with the support of a wheelchair or other aids. What they share is the joy of being in motion together.
At Moving Together there is no "right" or "wrong". No one has to perform or prove anything. Instead, a space opens up in which everyone can discover and expand their own possibilities – at their own pace and with whatever is possible in that moment.
And again and again we experience something special: movement creates connection. Where words are sometimes missing or differences become visible, dancing and moving together create a sense of togetherness that often feels surprisingly natural.
A note on the title: the German plays on the near-rhyme Bewegung/Begegnung, which English can't reproduce directly. "When Movement Becomes Connection" keeps the meaning; if you'd like more of a ring to it, "Where Movement Meets" or "Moved Together, Met Together" are alternatives.
Gemeinsam lernen, gemeinsam wachsen

This diversity also shapes the atmosphere within the groups. It isn't about individuals having to adapt. Instead, a shared space emerges in which different needs have room and diversity becomes a matter of course.
Participants can look forward to a varied mix of creative movement tasks, dance, improvisation, strengthening exercises and moving together as a group. At the same time, the sessions promote body awareness, orientation, balance and self-confidence.
Above all, though, it's about the joy of moving and of having new experiences.
Two courses, two focuses
In autumn 2026 we are starting, for the first time, with two Moving Together courses.
The course "Dance & Strength" combines functional training with elements of dance. Strength, stability, mobility and stamina are developed alongside a sense of rhythm and body awareness. We are particularly pleased that this course is interpreted throughout into Austrian Sign Language (ÖGS) and spoken language, making it equally accessible to deaf and hearing participants.
Two small notes: I've kept ÖGS with a short gloss on first mention, since international readers won't know the abbreviation.

The course "Dance & Body Awareness" focuses on perception, movement quality and lightness. Through dance, improvisation and mindful movement work, participants discover new ways of sensing themselves and their bodies and of connecting with others.
Both courses pursue the same goal: to get people moving and to create a space in which participation is a matter of course.

Inclusion needs spaces
For inclusive programmes to succeed, what's needed is not only committed people, but also the right conditions.
That's why the courses take place at the accessible dance studio Lillis Ballroom. From the induction hearing loop to the tactile guidance system to step-free rooms, a great deal here has been designed to let as many people as possible take part independently.
We're convinced: inclusion doesn't begin in the course room. It begins wherever people are made welcome and barriers are removed.
Thanks to the support of Licht ins Dunkel
That we're able to offer Moving Together again this autumn is thanks to the support of Licht ins Dunkel. This funding allows us to keep participation especially low-threshold and to make access to the programme easier, regardless of people's financial means.
As a result, there is only a contribution of 20 euros per course, while group sizes are deliberately kept small, so that there is enough room for individual support and personal connections.
Join us!
Moving Together starts on 21 and 22 September 2026 with two new courses.
If you enjoy movement, want to meet new people, or are simply curious what inclusive dance and movement can look like, you are warmly welcome.
