Moving Together Autumn 2026

Licht ins Dunkel Logo.jpeg

Moving Together is an inclusive exercise programme for people with different experiences, abilities and life circumstances. Everyone is welcome and can take part according to their own abilities and at their own pace. In autumn 2026, we’ll be offering two courses. As always, these will be led by mixed-abled teams of instructors. No prior experience is required – everyone is warmly welcome.

In both courses, you’ll experience how movement brings people together over 10 sessions. You can look forward to:

• Creative movement and improvisation exercises

• Short choreographies

• Strength-building movement games

• Dance and movement with partners and in a group

• Exercises to promote body awareness

• A supportive, inclusive space full of joy in movement

The courses are funded by Licht ins Dunkel.

Moving Together – Dance & Strength with Austrian Sign Language interpretation

Starts on Monday, 21 September 2026, from 5.15 pm to 6.30 pm (10 sessions)

The course is led by the mixed-ability team of trainers René Friesacher (dance teacher) and Manfred Schütz (fitness trainer). An interpreter translates René’s instructions into Austrian Sign Language (ÖGS) and Manfred’s instructions into spoken language. This ensures that all sessions are accessible in both languages.

In this course, we combine functional strength training with dance-based movements. Through targeted exercises, we improve strength, stability, endurance, coordination and flexibility. Dance elements, rhythm and creative movement tasks provide variety whilst promoting body awareness, balance and quality of movement. The course is aimed at anyone who wants to strengthen their body and combine fitness with the joy of movement.

Moving Together – Dance & Body Awareness

Starts on Tuesday, 22 September 2026 from 5.15 pm – 6.30 pm (10 sessions)

The course is led by the mixed-abled team of trainers Lena Maya Turek (dance teacher) and Philipp Bellos (Feldenkrais practitioner). Through simple choreography, improvisation and creative movement exercises, we expand our range of movement and develop greater confidence and ease in how we move.

The focus is on deepening body awareness, improving posture, allowing the breath to flow more freely and feeling more at ease in one’s own body. At the same time, dancing together strengthens spatial awareness, connections with others and the joy of movement – each person working within their own capabilities and at their own pace.

Course details

Both courses are aimed at people with a wide range of experiences, backgrounds and levels of mobility. No prior experience is required – everyone is very welcome.

There is a fee of just 20 euros per course. This serves as a binding registration and helps us to reliably allocate the limited places in the deliberately small groups (max. 14 participants). If places are still available, it is perfectly possible to join the course at a later date. We look forward to exercising with you.

Please note: For participants with significant or specific support needs, we recommend bringing a personal assistant. Our team is responsible for facilitating the course but cannot provide individual assistance. Assistants may, of course, participate free of charge. Please do let us know in advance if an assistant will be attending, so that we can take the group size into account and ensure there is sufficient space for everyone.
